Safety Meeting Topic: Anti-harassment

A safe work environment doesn’t happen by accident. It requires leaders that are intentional in raising awareness, training, monitoring, and enforcing guidelines for all aspects of employee safety. Each team member must take responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of the people around them, including coworkers and customers. There is more to creating a safe workplace than just preventing physical injury. Employees also need to be protected from emotional harm, such as that caused by harassment. At this week’s safety meeting, we watched an anti-harassment video and engaged in meaningful discussion around the topic. Our employees’ rights to feel safe, respected, and supported are the foundation of our company culture.
